Sharon K. Stanton, 74, of Dowagiac, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020, at River Ridge Manor in Niles.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. graveside on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at South Wayne Cemetery, in Dowagiac, with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Pam Ryan to assist with the cost of the memorial headstone. Sharon was born Sept. 17, 1945, to Clifford and Olive (Bales) Stanton, in Decatur.

She graduated from Decatur High School in 1964. Sharon worked at Ramada Inn, in South Bend, as a maid for more than 20 years before her retirement.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing on the computer, reading and crocheting. She was very close with her nieces and nephews and they meant the world to her.

Sharon is survived by her siblings, Laura Rohacs and Gerald Stanton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, William Stanton, Clifford Stanton Jr., Doris Wilson, Catherine Peterson, Donald Stanton, John Stanton, Opal Bell and infant brother, Charles Stanton.
