Martha L. Crunk, 90, of Buchanan, passed away late on Friday, June 12, 2020, at home with her family by her side.

A celebration of life gathering will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan. A graveside Service will be on Friday, June 19, 2020, at Sorrell’s Chapel Cemetery, Dyersburg, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Area Agency on Aging or Redbud Area Ministries. Martha was born on Nov. 26, 1929, to Cecil and Beulah Simpson in Finley, Tennessee.

She married at a young age and subsequently relocated to Buchanan where she spent the rest of her years.

She worked locally as a Pawating Hospital dietitian, a switchboard phone operator and was a Lineman’s Assistant in Puerto Rico.

In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, crocheting, selling at local flea markets and occasional bingo. Her favorite activity of all was spending time with family and friends.

Martha is survived by four grandchildren, Stacey (Boeve) Cook, Todd Boeve, Troy Vaughn and Beverly (Seratt) Burton); eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J Crunk; her daughter, Patsy Wizner; her son, James Seratt; a grandson, James Seratt; and all of her siblings.
