DOWAGIAC — Wednesday evening, the staff from Sister Lakes Elementary School gathered with social distancing to wave goodbye to the students. Parents and students stayed in their cars and drove through a loop set up lined with staff members.  Staff members made signs celebrating the students and saying goodbye. The Sister Lakes Fire Department was also there with a fire truck on hand to wave goodbye.

Several parents visited and some drove through the loop several times, according to principal Mike Campell.

“It was great to see families and students and share a moment of happiness and being able to see the staff from Sister Lakes,” Campbell said.
