Mekenna Gaideski is a senior on the Dowagiac softball team.

Activities: Volunteering with National Honor Society.

Hobbies:  Playing travel softball, working and being on the lake.

My favorite softball memory: Hitting my first grand slam my junior year.   

Future plans: Play softball for the next two years and study to become a child and family social worker.

Awards/Accomplishments: Being a four-year varsity starter, as well as earning my scholarship to play softball at Lake Michigan College.

Advice to underclassmen: Always give 110 percent every game and every practice. You never know when it could be your last.

How have you been making the best of being quarantined? I have been spending a lot of time with family and taking every chance I get to be outdoors when the weather is beautiful.
