Gary Peters gets results for Michigan and should be re-elected to the Senate. We are in a time of crisis and need proven leadership representing us in Washington. According to the Lugar Center rankings for 2019, Gary Peters is the 12th most bipartisan senator overall and the third most bipartisan Democrat. This means that Peters knows how to get bills passed.

Peters’ bipartisan efforts have involved issues that affect all aspects of our lives. Here are just a few examples of bills that have recently been passed into law as a result of Senator Peters’ work:

1. A law to expand GI Bill-approved apprenticeships for veterans;

2. A bill to address the shortage of agricultural inspectors who protect the nation’s food supply;

3. Bills to increase funding for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative for the first time since the program was established nearly a decade ago, and expanding resources for Great Lakes fisheries programs;

4. And the Affordable Insulin Approvals Now Act that will create a faster path for U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval, help promote competition, and bring lower-cost generics to market sooner.

In addition, Senator Peters’ has been on the forefront of bipartisan efforts to address the coronavirus pandemic, including his work on the coronavirus, Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act which was signed into law on March 27.

Michigan needs Gary Peters in the U. S. Senate. Let’s re-elect this hard-working senator who knows how to get things done!
