Berrien County reports three additional COVID-19 deaths

SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN — Despite the slowing of COVID-19’s spread statewide, new death counts were reported in southwest Michigan Monday.

Monday, Berrien County reported three new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the county’s death toll to 52. The victims were a man in his 90s, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 40s.

In total, Berrien County has had 629 confirmed cases of COVID-19 to date, an additional 193 presumed positive cases and 483 recoveries.

Across state lines, Cass County reported 82 cases, three deaths and 35 recoveries, while Van Buren County reported 144 cases, six deaths and 79 recoveries.

Statewide, Michigan has seen 57,532 cases, 5,516 deaths and 38,099 recoveries from COVID-19.
