NILES — A Niles nursing facility has reported a number of deaths related to COVID-19.

Friday, Matthew Resch, a representative with West Woods of Niles, reported that 74 residents at the facility have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, in addition to 36 employees. Of the residents who have tested positive, 17 have since died.

According to Resch, 39 residents and 30 team members have recovered.

In total, Berrien County has seen 613 cases, 49 deaths and 472 recoveries.

Across county lines, Cass County reported 80 cases, three deaths and 35 recoveries. Van Buren County reported 136 cases, six deaths and 79 recoveries.
