SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN — Wednesday, Berrien County reported an additional COVID-19 death, bringing its total casualties to 48.

The most recent victim of COVID-19 in Berrien County was a man in his 70s with underlying health conditions. His case was among the 600 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported to date in the county.

Also Wednesday, Berrien County reported 434 recoveries from COVID-19.

Across county lines, Cass County reported 79 cases of the virus, two related deaths and 24 recoveries. Van Buren County reported 131 cases, six deaths and 41 recoveries.
