Berrien County reports three new COVID-19 deaths

SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN — Tuesday, the Berrien County Health Department reported three additional COVID-19 deaths.

The victims were all women, one over the age of 75 and two over the age of 90 with underlying health conditions. Their deaths bring Berrien County’s total COVID-19 death toll to 33. To date, Berrien County has seen 537 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, 189 additional presumed positive cases of COVID-19 and 336 recoveries.

Also Tuesday, Cass County reported 61 cases of COVID-19, two deaths and 23 recoveries. Van Buren County reported 116 cases, six deaths and 32 recoveries.

Statewide, Michigan has seen 52, 350 cases, 5017 deaths and 28, 234 recoveries to date.

Across state lines, St. Joseph County, Indiana reported 1,014 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 30 deaths as of Tuesday. Elkhart County reported 733 cases and 24 deaths.
