Kelly Cares Foundation cancels Football 101

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — In conjunction with the University of Notre Dame’s decision to limit on-campus events due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Fighting Irish football coach Brian Kelly and his wife, Paqui, have announced the cancelation of this year’s Football 101 event.

“While we are certainly disappointed to cancel this year’s Football 101, the health and safety of everyone in the South Bend community is our top priority,” Kelly said. “The Kelly Cares Foundation remains committed to the fight against breast cancer and giving back to those in need. Paqui and I look forward to making the 2021 edition of Football 101 the best yet.”

Hosted by the Kelly Cares Foundation, 2020 would have marked the 12th edition of the event to raise money for breast cancer initiatives, cancer research and patient advocacy. The previous 11 events have raised over $1 million to support Foundation causes.

Participants who registered will be receiving an email outlining options. Additional information can be found at KellyCaresFoundation.org.
