LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Thank you, Faris

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Thank you so much for the wonderful care you have provided.  I always looked forward to my appointments. In this age when seeing a doctor means having that person stand across the room (nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants may, however, may actually touch the patient!), I have always felt that you were personally involved with my health — as a whole person. In addition to removing toenails and a bone spur, you actually remembered what was going on with my life.

The odds of finding another doctor who could replace your kindness, your dedication, or your gentle-ness are definitely not good.  I will miss you!

I hope your retirement is filled with sunny golf outings (always under par, of course), family get-togethers, and whatever else your heart desires.  I hope the rest of your life reflects the kindness you’ve shown to others right back to you.
