CASSOPOLIS — The Brandywine girls basketball team won its sixth consecutive Division 3 district championship with a 73-25 win over Decatur at Cassopolis High School Friday night.

The title was also the Bobcats’ 11th in the past 12 years. Brandywine will head to Schoolcraft Tuesday night for the regional semifinals where it will face Kalamazoo Hackett at 5:30 p.m.

At Buchanan Friday night, defending district champion Edwardsburg was defeated by Three Rivers 48-37.

The No. 4-ranked Eddies led 20-19 at halftime, but was outscored 28-18 in the second half.
