NILES — Throughout last week, Niles High School celebrated homecoming week with an animated Disney classics theme.
Monday, the theme was “Sleeping Beauty,” and students came to school in their pajamas.
Tuesday, the theme was “Tweedledee and Tweedledum,” which was twin day.
Wednesday was “Finding Memo day.” Students dressed up as memes.
Thursday was “Walking Through Disney Day.” Each class had a theme. Freshman were “Finding Nemo.” Sophomores were “Lion King.” Juniors were “Monsters Inc.,” and seniors were “Tarzan.”
Friday was “Gold and Blue Day” with a Disney attire, such as Mickey Mouse ears. Students and staff also decorated the hallways for the week and hosted a pep rally Friday.
Later, Kaylen Gibson and Ozzy Moreno are crowned Niles High School Homecoming King and Queen Friday night during a pair of Niles home basketball games against Mattawan. Both seniors are members of the band program, with Moreno being last fall’s marching band drum major.
