Jenny Lyn (Richcreek) Parish, of Decatur, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at the age of 43.
Jenny is predeceased by her mother, Carolyn File-Richcreek-White, and step-father, Gordon White.
Jenny is survived by her adoring husband, James Parish, of 18 years. They were married Oct. 6, 2001. Jenny is also survived by her father, Don (Jan) Richcreek, sister, Bobbie Jo (Bob) Hartline, and god-daughter, Elizabeth (Zak) Lewellen.
Jenny was born Sept. 4, 1976, and graduated from Decatur High School in 1994. She went on to earn a bachelor of science in health from Grand Valley State University in 2001.
Jenny loved her friends, family and her Notre Dame football. Jenny had been an administrative assistant for several organizations in southwest Michigan. Jenny excelled at everything she did — from flute in her high school band, managing an international business office, organizing election offices, to being a loyal and steadfast friend. Jenny was the ultimate warrior, leader, shoulder and mentor for countless Teal Soldiers battling and surviving cervical cancer.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Dowagiac Moose Lodge #933, at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.
Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her arrangements.
