Dowagiac qualified for the postseason under first-year coach Randy Brooks as the Chieftains blanked visiting South Haven 36-0. It was the final game in the Wolverine Conference for South Haven, which moves to the BCS Athletic Conference in 2020.

Niles was defeated by visiting Portage Central in its final game of the 2019 season. The Vikings fell to the Mustangs 21-6.
