Zelmer accounts for four touchdowns in Buchanan rout of Comstock

COMSTOCK — Levi Zelmer threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as visiting Buchanan routed Comstock 41-6 in a BCS Red Division contest Friday night.

Zelmer was 10-of-14 for 264 yards through the air. He threw two touchdown passes to Gavin Fazi that covered 36 and 15 yards respectively. He also threw a 68-yard touchdown pass to Darius Griggs.

Griggs finished the night with two receptions for 119 yards, while Fazi had four receptions for 75 yards.

Zelmer’ touchdown run covered five yards and gave the Bucks (3-5) a 34-0 lead over the Colts.

Johnny Rager rushed for 38 yards and a five-yard touchdown. Keeghan Pelley scored on a 15-yard for Buchanan’s other touchdown.

The Bucks finished the night with 348 yards of total offense compared to just 122 by Comstock.

Fazi led the Bucks’ defense with five and a half tackles. Aidan Kile had four and a half tackles, while Pelley had four stops.

Buchanan wraps up its 2019 season against visiting arch rival Brandywine Friday night.
