BUCHANAN — Host Buchanan picked up its second win of the season as it defeated Saugatuck 26-18 in a non-conference contest at Memorial Field Friday night.

In other action, Edwardsburg won its 20th consecutive game with a 52-3 rout of visiting Plainwell on homecoming night. The Eddies remain atop the Wolverine Conference standings with a perfect 6-0 record. The win also qualified Edwardsburg for the postseason and a chance to defend its state championship.

On the road Friday night, Brandywine and Cassopolis also qualified for the state playoffs.

The Bobcats rolled over Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian 31-8 at Comstock Park High School, while the Rangers won a battle of Southwest 10 Conference unbeatens with a 41-0 rout of host White Pigeon. Both teams are now 6-0 on the season.

Dowagiac missed an extra point kick in overtime to fall to host Otsego 27-26. The Chieftains drop to 3-3 on the season.
