Pamela J. “Tammy” Smith, 59, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at the Timbers of Cass County, in Dowagiac.

A celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at the Decatur VFW, 560 N. Phelps St., Decatur. Friends may visit with the family after the service from 7 to 8 p.m. Her family asks that you wear purple in honor of Tammy’s favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary in Decatur. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at clarkch.com.

Tammy was born Feb. 6, 1960, in Chicago, to Robert and Patricia (Wandchowicz) Wojcicki.

On June 24, 2006, she married Tom Smith.

Tammy loved to dance and was always known as the life of the party. She was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed watching soap operas. Tammy was a longtime volunteer of the Decatur VFW, the Women’s Auxiliary and the Cass County Toys for Tots. She always had a strong faith in God.

Most of all, she loved her family, as they meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Tom Smith; children, Darr (Danielle) Phillips, Tara Phillips and Tambree “Breezy” Phillips; grandchildren, Emery and Cameron Phillips and Samuel and Alivia Billingham; sister, Lynette Means; numerous nieces and nephews; and her former husband, Leonard “Gene” Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Robert Wojcicki.
