Dennis P. Bannow, 80, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Cass County Medical Care Facility.
A private graveside burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel, Dowagiac. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at clarkch.com.
Dennis P. Bannow
Dennis was born on Nov. 14, 1938, to Albert and Lillian Bannow.
He graduated from Dowagiac High School. After graduation, Dennis enlisted with the U.S. Air Force where he honorably served for five years.
On June 23, 1979, he married Colleen Johnson in Niles. Dennis was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Colleen; children, Brenda (Jeff) Bannow-Smith, Phyliss Bannow and Steve (Tanya) Bannow Sr.; grandchildren, Kassandra Aldrich, Daniel (Kristina) Harris, Misty (Rant) Bannow, Brianna Bannow, Olivia Bannow, Karissa (Nick Bennett) Bannow and Steven (Victoria) Bannow Jr.; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Sherri Wade.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lillian Bannow; children, Danny Bannow and Pamela Aldrich-Beck; grandson, Donald Beck and brothers, Dick, Norm and Bud.
