PAW PAW — The Niles golf team finished fourth at the SMAC West Division jamboree hosted by Mattawan at Lake Cora in Paw Paw Aug. 19.

Niles shot 194 as a team, led by Willow Brawley and Maddie Lister, who both shot 48.

The Vikings finished fifth at the first round of the SMAC league tournament hosted by Gull Lake at Stonehedge North Thursday.

Niles shot 398 as a team.

Brawley had the low score for the Vikings with a 93. Sophie Hoover shot 96 and Lister shot 99.

St. Joseph won the 18-hole jamboree with a score of 370. Mattawan was second with a 380, while Portage Central and Portage Northern were third and fourth respectively with scores of 386 and 393.

The Vikings now have some time off before returning to the links Sept. 10 at Berrien Hills for the next West jamboree.
