Ronald B. Schuur, 70, of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at Timbers of Cass County.

A private graveside service will be at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church in Dowagiac. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at clarkch.com.

Ronald was born on Dec. 3, 1948, to George and Mary Jane (Weiland) Schuur in Dowagiac. He graduated from Dowagiac High School and continued his education from Southwestern Michigan University.

Ronald worked as a Lift Truck Driver for Du-Wel and Co. for more than 30 years before his retirement. Ronald enjoyed playing golf and was a Civil War enthusiast, he loved to travel around to all Civil War battle fields.

Ronald is survived by his brothers, Bob (Donna) Schuur, David (Nanette) Schuur, George Schuur and Bill (Vickie) Schuur; and brother-in-law Clifton Gordon. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Jane Schuur; sisters, Janet Peck, Linda Hyatt and JoAnn Gordon.
