NILES — Starting 10 a.m. Sunday, July 28, Relevant Church will host a family-friendly Summer Bash.

Summer Bash will be an opportunity for the community to experience church in an upbeat and informal setting, said church staff.

This event will kick off with worship at the amphitheater at Riverfront Park. It will be followed by an inspirational message from Pastor Muta Mwenya, said organizers.

At the conclusion of service, there will be food trucks, inflatables, music, and the finale of the Amazing Race Games.

“Our church has been participating in an interactive experience where we’ve created creative challenges for the mind, body and soul,” said Mwenya. “On the final day, teams will compete to be crowned the Amazing Race champions.”

The community is invited to come root for the teams competing, staff said.

Childcare is provided during the worship experience.

Relevant Church has been active in Niles for three years. The church’s mission focuses on serving the local community and helping people discover that Jesus is relevant, staff said.
