NILES — The Four Flags Garden Club recently payed honor to former club president Anita Heemer, by purchasing a bench at the Historic Niles Amtrak Depot with a plaque dedicating it to her.

Family and friends of Heemer were in attendance of its dedication. Some shared memories of her.

Heemer was a 35-year member, said club leadership.
