DOWAGIAC — A Dowagiac woman was arrested Thursday on multiple charges, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke reported that on Thursday detectives of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and detectives of the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed an arrest warrant on a traffic stop in the area of Main Street and Walnut Street in the city of Dowagiac.   

Renietta Szulczyk, 31, of Dowagiac, was arrested during a traffic stop for a felony warrant for creation or delivery of a controlled substance.   

Upon searching the Szulczyk’s purse upon arrest, detectives located methamphetamine and analogue medications for additional drug charges. The investigation is still on going at this time.  Cass County Detectives were assisted by the Cass County Drug Enforcement team. 

Szulczyk was arraigned on the additional charges and the bond was set at $100,000.
