BENTON HARBOR — Lake Michigan College is offering basketball and volleyball summer camps for student-athletes in elementary school through high school to help develop their skills.

Red Hawks boys’ basketball camp

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 8 to 11

This daylong camp is for boys entering grades fourth to 10th. Students will develop fundamental skills in a fun environment and learn the importance of teamwork, leadership skills and education. No previous experience is necessary.

Campers are responsible for providing their own sack lunches. A camp T-shirt is included. Cost is $175. Scholarship rates for school verified free or reduced lunch students is $75. Siblings discount is $300 for two, $400 for three.

Elite High School Team

Volleyball Camp

Aug. 12-13, 12 to 2 p.m.

Come and brush up on your skills before high school tryouts. This camp is designed for high school athletes who are seeking fast-paced drills, training, and high-level competition. This is not a camp for basic training.

Middle School Team Volleyball Camp, Aug.  19-20, 12 to 2 p.m.

The middle school volleyball camp is designed to help athletes brush up on fundamental volleyball techniques and improve their serve receive, defense, offense, and six on six skills. There will be some basic training, but the focus is to have athletes participate in fast-paced drills and elevate their level of play.
