NILES — On Saturday, the Niles Service League celebrated its 85th anniversary with a luncheon for current and former members.

During the event, president Tammy Kelley was presented with a certificate of appreciation from the State of Michigan for 85 years of service to the community by Brad Paquette, 78th District State Representative.

The Niles Service League is a nonprofit organization that helps children of the Niles, Brandywine and Buchanan school districts find and give coats, boots, school supplies and other resources to students. This organization is made possible by the dedication and hard work of its current and past members, said Kelley.
