NILES — One person was taken away in an ambulance with minor lacerations Thursday after one vehicle hit two others at the corner of E. Main and N. Fifth streets in Niles.
An individual driving a car failed to yield when the light turned green for two other cars at N. Fifth stop light, said Niles police officer Nathan Adamczyk, who responded to the incident.
A driver in a truck began to move forward at the green light and was hit by the turning vehicle. This caused the vehicle behind the truck to be hit as well.
The Niles Fire Department and the Niles Police Department responded to the incident, determining two individuals involved to have minor injuries. One was taken away by ambulance for treatment while the other was treated and released at the scene.
All three vehicles were damaged. Each was taken away from the scene by tow trucks.
No arrests were made after the incident.
