NILES TOWNSHIP — Local officers are searching for a missing man out of Niles Township.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. Sunday, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint of a missing person from the Riverfront Park Campground along the Dowagiac River in Niles Township.
The missing man is Garen Patrick Collins, 47, who resides at the Riverfront Park Campground on Pucker Street in Niles Township. He is reported as 6-feet, 2-inches tall. He is 265 pounds with short brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee.
Collins’ vehicle was located in the parking lot of the Pucker Street Dam.
An extensive search is currently underway by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Niles Township Fire Department.
