UNION CITY — Trailing 3-0, Bronson rallied for a pair of runs in the final two innings to edged Watervliet in the Division 3 regional semifinals Wednesday.

The win propelled the Vikings (28-11) into the regional championship game against Buchanan at 12:30 p.m. in Coloma Saturday.

Kameron Haviland pitched two and two-third innings of relief to earn the victory. He did not allow a hit or a run.

Ryan Wisman was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Bronson, who also got two hits from Blaine Robinson.

“Anything worth having is not easy,” said Bronson coach Matt Watkins. “That has been our motto all year and it couldn’t have been more true tonight. I can’t say enough about the heart and desire of this team. To be down three and come back in the last two innings tells you the character of this team. The bottom of our lineup really came through in the top of the sixth to extend the inning and turnover our lineup to the top to start the seventh.”
