John Elwood Gaylor, 81, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019.

John was born in Almont, Michigan and raised on a farm in the Upper Peninsula in Fibre, Michigan.

He married his beloved wife: Dora Mae Wiseman, on Oct. 22, 1960, in Harbor Springs, Michigan.

John loved spending time with his family, his pets (especially his dogs), telling jokes, camping, and watching westerns.

John was preceded in death by his wife, son: Paul, and three of his brothers: Albert, Kenneth, and Paul.

He leaves to his loving memory his daughter: Elain (Robert) Staffen; grandchildren: Jacob (Megan) Gaylor, Noah (Nicole) Gaylor, Audre Staffen, and Justin Staffen; three sisters, two brothers, many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

In accordance with John’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 53681 Stevens Lane, Three Rivers, and a separate service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Rudyard Cemetery on N. Tilson Rd. in Rudyard, Michigan.
