Michigan State to host Western Michigan Sept. 7 on BTN

EAST LANSING —The Big Ten Conference and its television broadcast partners announced several game times for the 2019 season on Thursday.
Michigan State will kick off the 2019 season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 vs. Tulsa in Spartan Stadium in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The game will be televised on FS1. This marks the eighth time in the last nine years that the Spartans will open on Friday night. The Spartans are 7-0 in their previous Friday night games under head coach Mark Dantonio, including a 6-0 mark in Spartan Stadium.
For Week 2, the Spartans will host Western Michigan at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 on BTN. Dantonio is 5-0 against the Broncos and MSU is 13-2 all-time against WMU.
Michigan State will welcome Arizona State to East Lansing for just the second time in series history at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 The game will be televised nationally on FOX.
Homecoming on Sept. 28 vs. Indiana is set for either 3:30 or 4 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.
MSU’s game at 7:30 p.m. at Ohio State on Oct. 5 will kick off and will be televised on either ABC or ESPN.
The following week, the Spartans will travel to Wisconsin and play the Badgers at either 3:30 or 4 p.m.
