Gallery: Niles edges Eddies in Division 2 soccer quarterfinals

NILES — For the first time in at least two decades, the Niles girls soccer team won its opening match of the MHSAA district soccer tournament.

Willow Brawley scored both goals as the Vikings edged visiting Edwardsburg 2-1 in the Division 2 quarterfinals on Thursday.

Niles now advances to the semifinals against host St. Joseph Tuesday night.

Jodee Lambert scored the lone goal for the Eddies.
