Elva Rose, of Centerville, Michigan, will celebrate her 100th birthday on May 26.

An open house to commemorate the occasion will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 26.  Those wishing to attend are asked to bring smiles and cards, but no other gifts.

Elva has been a lifetime resident of Cass County.  She was born in Vandalia and spent most of her life in Dowagiac.
