Lee V. “Sparky” Davis, 70, of Dowagiac, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Lakeland Medical Facility in St. Joseph.
A private memorial service will be at a later date. Memorial contributions in Lee’s name, may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Great Lakes Burn Camp for kids. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at clarkch.com.
Lee was born April 18, 1949, to Elwyn Lee and Ella (Wilson) Davis-Fitzgerald in Dowagiac. He married the love of his life, Judy Kay Freel in 1967.
Lee had a love for the outdoors and that was shown through operating his own business as a bait dealer called K & L Bait. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and contributing to the conservation of natural resources.
Most of all he loved his family and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Lee is survived by his children, Dreamalea Davis, Greg Davis and Jennifer (Jeff) Lohraff; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony Davis; extended children, Jimmy (Kris) Gant and Dale (Sarah) Breseman; and many extended “adoptive” children. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Kay Davis; step-mother, Nell Rocha; brother, Gary Davis and sister, Penny Davis.
