Douglas Allan Clark, of Dowagiac, was born June 11, 1954, in St. Joseph. He was one of seven children born to Wayne and Rose (Wagner) Clark.

Doug, as he was known to everyone, passed away at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Doug was formerly employed by his father’s business Wayne Clark Trucking. He also worked for Harbor Plating, Wilbur Ellis Chemicals and retired from Ace Hardware in St Joseph.

The family will welcome friends from noon to 1 p.m. at the Sister Lakes Community Church on Saturday, May 11, 2019, followed by a celebration of life service to honor Doug’s memory. Pastor Scott Stambaugh will officiate. As to Doug’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.

On Nov. 30, 1975, Doug was united in marriage to the former Brenda Lambert. She survives along with their three children; Rubin (Heather) Clark, of Benton Harbor, Tom (Krystal Coulson) Clark, of Dowagiac, and Dennis Clark, of Panama City, Florida, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandaughter.  Doug is also survived by his mother Rose, and his six siblings; Delores Steinhaus, of Colma, Wayne (Ruth) Clark, of Covert, Frank (Carol) Clark, of Eau Claire, Edward Clark, of Bedford, Indiana, Jerry (Deb) Clark, of Benton Harbor, and Jim Clark, of Benton Harbor, along with many other family members and friends.

Doug was preceded in passing by his father; Wayne.
