Krush teams bring home titles from GR

NILES — The Krush Volleyball Club had a successful weekend in Grand Rapids at the Lakeshore Volleyfest as it brought home a pair of championships.

The Lakeshore Volleyfest is an AAU Super Regional. A total of 470 teams in seven age divisions played on 85 courts.

“This is really a good tournament and one of the largest in Michigan,” said Krush Volleyball Club Director Dennis Cooper. “All the big clubs come to play. We had a number of Canadian teams also, which makes it interesting. I was really excited how we played as a club. Our 16 National team ended winning the Silver Division and the 14s and 18s Winning the Gold Division. It is really good to see the kids play well.”

The 18 National team consists of Skye Leach, Audrey Longley, Talia Fink, Megan Gallagher, Claire Alby, Abbigail Harpenau, Anna Hull, Carli Derda, Cali Allen, Jocelyn Hack and Brooke Allen.

The Krush 14 National team is made up of Alayna Wimberley, Berkley Zache, Clara DePriest, Jillian Bruckner, Ava Meek, Sarah Davey and Riley Zache.
