Niles’ Lawrence, Miller honored at the Moose Krause banquet
Niles seniors Ross Lawrence and Nolan Miller were honored at the 46th annual Moose Krause Memorial Scholar-Athlete Banquet.
The honor is based on their academics, community service and play on the field.
Berrien County 4-H hosting a golf outing at Orchard Hills
NILES — The Berrien County 4-H Foundation, Inc. is hosting a golf outing Tuesday, June 4, at Orchard Hills Country Club in Niles.
The charitable event benefits the Berrien County 4-H program.
The scramble feature of the outing, which will begin at noon, offers the opportunity to experience challenging greens while having fun and supporting 4-H programs and activities for youth in Berrien County.
Golfers will enjoy dinner and prizes with registration. Participation options include participation at $90 per person or $350 per foursome, sponsoring a hole for $150 or having dinner only for $30 a person.

Jeske scores two goals, adds two assists in win over Edwardsburg
EDWARDSBURG — Visiting Lakeshore scored six goals in the first half en route to a 7-1 non-conference soccer victory Friday.
Scoring goals for the Lancers were Ella Jeske (2), Elliott de la Foret, Olivia Trivedi, Lauren Masterson, Katelyn White and Emily Waning.
Jeske also had a pair of assists for Lakeshore.
Hannah Coles scored the lone goal for the Eddies.
