NILES — Having not played since before spring break did not seem to have much of an effect on the Brandywine tennis team Tuesday.

The Bobcats edged perennial powerhouse Schoolcraft 5-3 at Plym Park.

“Just a huge win over a very good team that we will see again in regionals,” said Brandywine coach Joe Marazita. “All the matches were close and we fought hard all day to pull it out.”

The Bobcats split the singles flights with Megan Schmidt and Gianna Stella winning at No.1 and No. 4 singles respectively.

Brandywine captured all but one of the doubles flights.

Maigon Conrad and Ava Moody were winners at No. 1 doubles, while Katie Stratton and Caitlin Stanner were winners for Brandywine at No. 3 doubles.

The No. 4 doubles team of Mackenzie Jones and Destiny Patrolia picked up the other victory for the Bobcats, who hit the road to face Bridgman-LMC Thursday.
