John Westgate, 67, of Niles, died peacefully Monday, April 1, 2019, in the comfort of his family’s presence.

He was born June 29, 1951, in Dowagiac, to Paul and Mary Westgate.

He married Kathy Klockow on May 21, 2000, in Granger. She survives. J

ohn will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by wife, Kathy Westgate, of Jones; daughter, Kandi Westgate, of Centerville; sisters, Margaret Young, of Niles, Susan Westgate, of Elkhart, brothers, Thomas (Mary) Westgate, of Berrien Center, Kenneth (Susan) Westgate, of Kalamazoo, Paul Jeffery (Debbie) Westgate, of Niles; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Vincent Allen Vantuyle; and brother-in-law, John Young.
