John T. Laws, 85, of Union, died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, in the comfort of his family’s presence.

He was born March 3, 1933, in Springfield, Illinois, the eighth child to George and Nancy Laws. He married Alice Marie Cloud, his wife of 52 years, in Elkhart, Indiana on Dec. 26, 1953. She preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 2006.

John loved all of his family and friends. He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force.

John will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by son Randy (Kimberly Ann) Laws of Fremont, Indiana; granddaughter, Patty Laws of Elkhart, Indiana; great granddaughter, Madilyn Hunt; and a host of nieces, nephews and all other loved ones in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and two brothers.

Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019, in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis. The family requests casual attire.

John will be laid to rest at Five Points Cemetery, Porter Township, next to his wife Alice.
