One injured in single-vehicle accident

VOLINIA TOWNSHIP — A Dowagiac man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Volinia Township Saturday morning, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.
Roberto Reyna, 25, of Dowagiac, left the roadway and struck a tree on Marcellus Highway, east of Goodenough Road, at 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
Reyna told police he believed he fell asleep while driving.
He was injured to the crash and transported to the hospital via PrideCare Ambulance. Wayne Township Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
