Chieftains rally to beat Three Rivers 63-54

DOWAGIAC — Host Dowagiac rallied from a 37-32 halftime deficit to defeat Three Rivers 63-54 in the final Wolverine Conference South Division game of the 2018-19 season Friday night.

The Chieftains outscored the Wildcats 19-11 in the pivotal third quarter to take a 51-48 lead into the final eight minutes of play.

The Chieftains were able to open up a small cushion in the fourth quarter to improve to 10-9 overall. Dowagiac finished in second place in the South Division with a 5-3 record.

D.J. Lanier scored a game-high 22 points for the Chieftains, who also got 14 points from Trae Brookins and 10 points from Dashawn Brooks.

Parker Ellifritz had 20 points to lead Three Rivers.
