Bears hand Vikings their 12th straight loss

ST. JOSEPH — Despite three players in double figures, visiting Niles was unable to snap its 12-game losing streak at St. Joseph Friday night.

The Vikings (2-13, 0-9 SMAC West) kept it close for the first half before the Bears pulled away to the easy victory.

Niles trailed 19-10 after one quarter and 27-17 at halftime.

The Bears outscored the Vikings 34-26 in the second half.

Adrian Thomas led Niles with 14 points, while Jordan Brown and Kendall Chrismon both finished with 11 points.

Jordan Marble had a game-high 24 points for the Bears.
