NILES — The Brandywine girls basketball team improved to 14-2 on the year with a pair of victories over the weekend.

The Bobcats defeated arch rival Buchanan 63-25 in a BCS Red Division game on Friday night before routing visiting Constantine 66-33 Saturday afternoon.

Against the Falcons, the Bobcats led 25-7 after one quarter and 50-17 by the intermission.

Zakiyyah Abdullah scored a game-high 19 points, while Kennedy Byrd finished with 17 points.

Nocole Sachman and Alexis Rhodes both had 12 points.

Against Buchanan Friday night, the Bobcats led 12-4 after one and 29-8 by halftime.

Abdullah scored a game-high 17 points, while Sachman and Byrd added 14 and 13 respectively.
