Charles “Chucky” Dwayne Hunt, 67, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Thursday morning, Jan. 31, 2019.
He was born March 29, 1951, in Dowagiac, the 16 of 18 children born to Theron and Corabell Hunt.
Chucky loved to play his guitar in church and playing golf. He enjoyed his ice cream, candy bars, and McDonald’s cheeseburgers and French fries.
Charles will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by two daughters, Charmaine (Keon) Lovelady and Charise (Keith) Dunlap, both of Indianapolis, three sons, Charles Hunt, Alfonso Hunt, Tyler Hunt; five grandchildren; five sisters, Dorothy Alford, of Memphis, Tennessee, Patricia (Eddie) Forrest, of Indianapolis, Carol Davis, of Cassopolis, Sharon Doss, of South Bend, Deborah (Mark) Samuel, of Anderson, Indiana; two brothers, Joe (Pearl) Hunt and Douglas Hunt, both of Cassopolis; two cousins, Deanie Hunt, of Cassopolis, Delbert Hunt, of Niles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lavina Watson, Lola Buck; and one brother, Theron Hunt.
Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. until time of service at noon on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis.
Mr. Hunt’s remains will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Cassopolis.
The family prefers contributions in Charles’ memory be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
