NILES — City officials announced that all non-essential City Offices will be closed Thursday, due to inclement weather. Non-essential offices include city hall, the Niles History Center, Niles Code Enforcement and inspection offices, Niles Dial A Ride and non-essential services at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The closure of nonessential offices started Wednesday. Niles Police Chief Jim Millin helped to determine whether or not the closures would continue Thursday.

Those who need rides to local warming centers are asked to the call the non-emergency police line at (269) 683-4700.
