CASSOPOLIS — Two Cassopolis churches, The Church of Cassopolis and United Presbyterian Church, hosted two events to honor the memory and celebrate the life and work of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. On Monday morning four local youth competed in an essay contest at The Church of Cassopolis, and in the evening Cassopolis locals congregated at United Presbyterian Church to hear the essays, sing songs, hear musical numbers from other area youth, and to listen to a sermon from Rev. Catrinka Johnson of Dowagiac.
