Get in the game with First Tee

Join First Tee of Benton Harbor for their 2019 Life Skills Experience Summer Program. You will chaperone a group of four or five participants, ages 5-8 as the play holes at Blossom Trials. It is not required that volunteers have experience in the game of golf, the main objective is to make sure participants are safe, moving along in a timely manor, and having fun! Café at Lakeland

Lakeland’s Courtyard Café is looking for volunteers to wait tables and take food orders. If you like to keep busy and work with a fun loving staff, this is the position for you! Registered Nurse needed

The Niles Buchanan YMCA is in need of a Registered Nurse willing to volunteer his or her time at Just For You Night Out to help provide minor medical assistance. Just For You Night Out is a Saturday evening at the YMCA designed for individuals ages 16 and up with special needs. Participants will come for an evening of swimming and physical activity, plus a great chance to forge lasting friendships. A healthy snack and dinner are included. Girls on the Run Coach Box Assembly

Every Girls on the Run team receives a coach box with all the materials they will need for the 10 week program. Your volunteerism will be important to put all the bits and pieces together. Board member needed

Berrien County Cancer Services is looking for someone to fill the role of secretary for our board of directors. The secretary takes notes at the board meetings (every other month starting in January) and also at the executive committee (meets the opposite months except for December and instead also meets in January about 2-3 weeks prior to the full board meeting).Qualifications include: Confidentiality regarding the meetings and BCCS patient information, being able to take good minutes, be enthusiastic and supportive of BCCS as an organization, and accuracy with typing up the minutes. Tutor students who want their high school diploma

The Bridge Academy powered by Kinexus is looking for 10-15 academic tutors to volunteer 1-2 hours per week throughout the school year in our space at 499 W. Main St. in Benton Harbor.  The Bridge Academy is open 10-4 Monday-Thursday for Academic Instruction.  Students in our programs are sixteen years and older and are working towards earning their high school diploma or GED credential.  We are looking for a diverse group of tutors of all ages, genders, and vocational backgrounds.  Tutors do not have to have a background in education. We are looking for tutors to help students primarily with reading, writing, and math skills from 3rd grade levels to 12th grade levels. Apply at uwsm.org/volunteer.
