Frederick (Skeeter) Faye Bell, 80, of Conover, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at his residence. He was born June 21, 1938, in Cass County, to the late Lloyd and Margarite Dahlke Bell. Skeeter attended Bright Light Tabernacle in Hickory and retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service.  He enjoyed fishing, fishing for men and camping. Fred was involved as a re-entry instructor and mentor for the prison ministry.

Those left to cherish his memory are; wife of 17 years, Mary Pyne Bell of the home. Sons, Peter Bell, of Dowagiac, Mark Bell and wife Kathy, of Indiana. Step-Sons, James Shugars and wife Gimmie, of Claremore, Oklahoma.  Scott See and wife Denise, of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Brothers, Ernie Bell, of Dowagiac, Lloyd Bell, of Dowagiac, Kenney Bell, of Dowagiac.

A service to celebrate Skeeter’s life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at Salisbury National Cemetery. Pastor Ray York will officiate. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 48 will follow. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at Bright Light Tabernacle in Hickory.
