Debra Lynn Webber passed away Dec. 22, 2018. She was 65.

Debi was born Oct. 20, 1953, to Harley (Bunk) and Martha Ann (Shelton) Webber in Berrien Center. She was the oldest of four girls.

Debi graduated from Eau Claire High School and took classes at Lake Michigan College, Southwestern Michigan College and Ivy Tech Community College.

She married Luis Diaz in 1974, and they had three children, Jennifer, Jeremiah and Jacob.

She married J.D. White in 1995.

Debi spent her life caring for her children and working as a rehabilitation technician and aid for 12 years in Buchanan and South Bend. She worked at her parents’ furniture refurbishing company and at Monaco Coach Corp. (Elkhart) before settling at AM General in Mishawaka where she worked from 2001 until 2016.

Debi was a hard worker, independent and devoted to her family. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow.

She is preceded in death by her step-daughter, Kim Stout; parents, Martha Ann and Harley Webber; grandparents Rose and Ethan Shelton, Lillian Bender and Llye Webber; and nephew Steven Rough.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jennifer Burke of Lorton, Va, Jeremiah (Elizabeth) Diaz, of Niles, and Jacob Diaz, also of Niles; former spouses Luis Diaz, of Niles and J.D. White, of Osceola, Indiana, grandchildren Kaitlyn Burke and Natalia, Gabriel, Melina and Eliana Diaz, and step-grandchildren; sisters Sheryl (Michael) Coburn, of Stevensville, Cindy (Bill) Rough, of Niles, and Pam (Don) Priest, of Eau Claire, as well as nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. A private, family memorial service will be held at a later date.
